PUHA Training - Fish Safe Courses

FISH SAFE "SAFE ON THE WHEEL" WORKSHOP

What is Safe on the Wheel program all about?
A five day workshop developed using the same principals and delivery methods as the Stability Course with the goal of giving crew men the tools to be Safe on the Wheel. Navigation, Chartwork, Electronics, Buoyage, Weather and What If's will all be covered to make for a safer wheel turn. Also included is one day practical on board a fishing vessel.

Couses have been completed for 2011.

The 2012 course schedule and registration form will be added soon.

Register early as space is limited to 10 participants per course.

Course dates: Tuesday through Friday
Time: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm daily
Registration Fee:

The cost of the course is subsidized for BC commercial fisherman by Transport Canada and WorkSafeBC. 
There is a non-refundable registration fee of $168.00 ($150 + 12% HST) applied to each registrant to ensure that we have full participation. 
All course materials are included in the registration fee and all course graduates receive a Fish Safe certificate and course jacket.
